july 19 recap

  • I’m thinking that this is the last travel weekend of the summer. Attendance was down a little but we had several first time guests.
  • We are planning on having our next baptism on August 23. The new member class will be in the Fall.
  • Set up and tear down went well. We have great volunteers who get it done every week!
  • We are going to go to the semester system with our small groups. Already there is some good buzz about it.
  • Wednesday night we plan on passing out fliers in the neighborhood where we are going to give out the free book bags.
  • Phillip and the band did another outstanding job leading worship. These guys can flat out play.

July 12, Recap

  • Attendance was ok considering it was the second full weekend in July.
  • The band had a few sound issues. However, Phillip and the boys were able to overcome.
  • I’m excited about our small groups that will be cranking up in a few weeks. We are making some changes that I think everyone will like.
  • The message was from 1 Thessanlonians 4. We talked about living a peaceful life and not be in everyone else’s business. I’m gonna try to put it on the blog.
  • Our second anniversary will be on August 9. We will have a new member class on August 16 and baptism will be on August 23, at Hunter Park. Great Stuff!

July 5 Recap

  • We simply have the best volunteers anywhere! Even on a Holiday weekend they are awesome.
  • Phillip and the band sounded great. A special thanks to Joel for coming and working some of the kinks out of our system. With a couple of minor changes, our sound quality should greatly improve.
  • The message was on sexual immorality. God’s will is that we don’t engage in sex outside of marriage. There are no exceptions. Even King David, a man after God’s own heart, did not qualify as an exception. If everyone would commit to memory the three main points of the message then a lot of heart ache could be avoided.
  • We will celebrate our second anniversary as a church on August 9. Also, we are looking at having another baptismal service and new member class in the near future (stay tuned for details).
  • College Bible study will meet at our house on Tuesday, July 7. We will begin at 7:00 and end when everyone leaves.
